Trade In Your Xbox 360 or PS3, Get $100 From Microsoft Towards Xbox One

Nice way to soften the blow of the Xbox One's $500 pricetag.

Microsoft’s Xbox One is a hefty, expensive investment- at $499, it is, barring the hilariously overpriced (at launch) PS3, the most expensive console ever. Microsoft does seem to be aware of the problem however, and is trying to soften the blow- if you trade in your current generation console (only Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3- sorry, Wii owners), you will get $100 off on an Xbox One.

Any and all models of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are considered eligible- this includes the original Xbox 360, the Xbox 360 Slim, and the new Xbox 360 E model that was introduced last year. For the PlayStation 3, that would include the original launch models, the Slim models, as well as the Super Slim models that were introduced last year. The only stipulation is that your console must be working, so trying to put your RROD’d or YLOD’d consoles towards this will get you nowhere.

It’s a nice offer, and for those who weren’t too invested in their Xbox 360 or PS3 libraries, might even get them to jump on an Xbox One.
