Transference

Transference, the virtual reality psychological thriller from Ubisoft Montreal and SpectreVision, is out later this year. To prepare players for the forthcoming insanity, however, Ubisoft has released The Walter Test Case, a free demo of the game for PS4 and PlayStation VR users. Check out the trailer below.

Set before the events of the main game, The Walter Test Case goes into the mind of an individual with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In order to properly know his memories, players must solve puzzles, switching between different perspectives in the process. For those worried about the disorienting effects of VR, the demo can also be experienced without it.

Transference has also received an official release date. It’ll be out on September 18th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Supported VR platforms will include PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Those who want that extra bit of immersion can also use the HTC Vive Controller and Oculus Touch.
