Trek to Yomi

2021 is coming to a close, and 2022 is almost here. It looks to be quite an exciting year for gaming (barring more delays, of course), and we’ve already got several glimpses of titles that will be coming in the next year. One of those is Trek to Yomi, an indie title that was announced earlier this year. The game is going for a specific type of style, harkening to black and white samurai movies with a cinematic flair. Today we got a look at how the game will play.

A trailer, which you can see in full below, was released today. While there is some cinematic stuff here, we also see some of the basic gameplay. Most of it seems to be sidescrolling style, especially the combat, where you see your character take on several enemies, and taking over them with some brutal finishers. It also seems as if the game will zoom out during exploration for a little more freedom in movement.

Trek to Yomi is set to release sometime in 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The game also recently announced to be launching day 1 on Game Pass.
