UK Charts: Call of Duty WW2 Reigns to End 2017

Electronic Arts and Nintendo also scored big to end the year on a high note.

Chart-Track’s physical game sales in the UK have been revealed for the week ending December 30th and they confirm that Call of Duty: WW2 finished the year on top. This means that it’s now spent the same number of weeks at number 1 in the UK as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009.

Electronic Arts also finished the year strong with FIFA 18 in second place and Star Wars Battlefront 2 in third. Assassin’s Creed Origins and Grand Theft Auto 5 are in fourth and fifth place respectively while PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds drops out of the top 10. It was at eleventh place for this week but sales given that it crossed 30 million players, it’s sales are far from in trouble.

Nintendo also ended the year strong with Super Mario Odyssey in sixth, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in ninth and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in tenth place. The Sims 4 is in seventh place followed by Gran Turismo Sport.
