Within three days of its release, Grand Theft Auto 5 managed to net $1 billion in sales revenue. It also holds the record for being the fastest selling game ever in the UK, beating out Call of Duty: Black Ops by selling 1.57 million units in its first day for a grand revenue of £65 million. So is it any surprise that it’s knocked off Saints Row IV to be the number one selling game across all platforms according to the latest UKIE Game Charts courtesy Gfk Chart-Track?
Another new title debuts this week, with Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 in at number 2. The Last of Us actually managed to rise up to third place, with Saints Row IV holding steady at fourth place. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is in fifth place, with the remaining chart made up of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Diablo III, Disney Infinity, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix.
Wait, Aliens: Colonial Marines? What?
