Call it a lack of major releases or just a lot of new customers but Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 is the top selling game in the UK for the past week according to the latest sales by Gfk Chart-Track.
It’s surprising because Grand Theft Auto 5 isn’t new. In fact, it’s been in the top ten for roughly three years since first launching on the Xbox 360 and PS3, spending a pretty significant time in the top spot. Even factoring in the Xbox One, PS4 and PC release dates, the staying power of the game after all this time is amazing.
It’s followed by Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (which has spent several weeks at the top spot till now), Overwatch and FIFA 16. The rest of the top ten is as you’d expect with Rocket League in sixth, followed by DOOM, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Ratchet & Clank and Minecraft: Xbox Edition.
