Uncharted4-11

Look, we already know that Naughty Dog are crazy – you would have to be to achieve the kind of exacting excellence that Naughty Dog have practically made a habit at this point, to be honest – but it still frankly surprises us just how crazy Naughty Dog truly are.

In this new video that you can see below, you can see the extents and lengths to which Sony’s premier in house first party development studio went just to simulate wind (and other related visual and physical effects) in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which launched exclusively on PlayStation 4 earlier this year.

The video which was shown off at Siggraph 2016 (uploaded by Naughty Dog’s Andrew Maximov)  walks us through all the tech and the sophisticated techniques used by Naughty Dog to achieve realistic graphics and visual effects by Naughty Dog, and to create what may just be the prettiest and best looking video game ever created.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is available now on PlayStation 4 now exclusively.
