Unravel

Coldwood’s Unravel is one of the more intriguing games to come from Electronic Arts this year, especially considering the big-budget AAA titles the developer usually invests in. A new video was released by the developer which takes a closer look at the game’s puzzles and how Yarny – despite his frail form – is capable of traversing environments.

As noted in many videos before, Yarny is composed entirely of yarn. This leaves a steady trail behind the player but can also be attached to objects and used like a grappling hook. The world of Unravel has been described as a sandbox where everything can be interacted with and just about any object can be grabbed and pulled. This apparently leads to more rewarding puzzles but we’ll see for ourself when the full game releases.

Unravel is out on February 9th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the puzzles? Let us know in the comments below.
