Sony has announced that Ballistic Moon’s Until Dawn, a remaster of the 2015 horror adventure, will launch on October 4th for PS5 and PC. A new comparison trailer is live, which compares the title with the original’s visuals. Check it out below, but beware of story spoilers.

The remaster sports several improvements to lighting and shadows for more natural-looking scenes (while enhancing some more gruesome ones). Characters also have much more detail, whether it’s the facial textures that showcase every little pore or smudges, grime, and cuts. Facial and body animations are more detailed and expressive as well.

Alongside graphical improvements, Until Dawn includes new collectibles and interactions, a third-person camera, and overhauled sound effects. There’s also a new soundtrack courtesy of Mark Korven of The Witch fame. Unfortunately, Sony has confirmed that PC players must link their Steam account with PlayStation Network.

Stay tuned for more details on the remaster in the meantime.
