V Rising

As Stunlock Studios prepares for V Rising to exit early access next month, it’s announced a price increase. It will go into effect from April 5th onwards, rising from $19.99 to $34.99. This isn’t necessarily shocking news – when early access launched, Stunlock said, “We expect the price to increase after Early Access, but we can’t tell the exact pricing.”

With five years of development – two spent in early access – it believes the price reflects the “full value” of the title. Existing DLC packs will remain available after 1.0 launches with the same pricing. Of course, this doesn’t include the upcoming Legacy of Castlevania collaboration, launching on May 8th.

There will be a free update adding legendary vampire hunter Simon Belmont as a boss fight, utilizing his signature Vampire Killer whip (which players can wield alongside new abilities). A Premium Pack will also be available with Castlevania-themed castle decorations, skeletal mount, and character customization options, though the price is unknown.

Stay tuned in the meantime for more details. V Rising is also coming to PS5 later this year.
