Valheim

It’s always interesting when something comes out of nowhere to be a big hit. One such example is Valheim. The game is a sandbox survival title that is set between the purgatory-like area between Earth and Valhalla in Viking lore. It’s also hit a chord in a very big way, it seems, and people are still coming with hopes of making it to Asgard.

It was reported last week that the game had already surpassed 1 millions sales just a week after that initial launch. That success has continued as just 6 days later, it’s now passed 2 million sales as announced on the official Steam page. They cheekily comment they have beat a 700+ year record of the most Vikings population with the new number. It’s also worth noting that the game is still technically in early access.

Valheim is now available in Early Access for PC via Steam. As of now there is no announced concrete plan for when the 1.0 version will release.
