Valorant is ramping up to be one of the next big titles in the hero shooter genre. Coming via Riot Games, the game looks to shake up the scene, and thus far the reception to the ongoing beta has been pretty positive. Those who game on consoles and mobile are looking on with hope that the game will come to their preferred platform. Well, there’s some good news and some bad news about that.

The Express Online got to ask Game Director Joe Ziegler about the game coming to other platforms besides PC. He said, “While we are exploring other platforms like console and mobile, right now the team is working hard to deliver a top notch experience on PC.” This echoes what was said by the game’s Lead Designer, though this seems to be the first it’s been implied that there’s some degree of active exploration of consoles and mobile support. Mobile controls were reportedly found in the beta, so it’s possible that could be related here.

However, for the time being, it seems the focus is on the PC version. Valorant is set to launch this year, and odds are, any console or mobile port will come after the PC launch.
