Riot Games’ PvP tactical shooter Valorant’s stock has risen consistently since it launched for PC back in 2020, and given the consistent and prolonged success it has enjoyed, it’s no surprise that the developer is looking to bring it to additional platforms as well. It’s been known for a while that Valorant is headed to mobile devices, and reports have also persistently suggested that it could also be in the works for consoles.

Riot Games recently published a job ad for the position “Senior Game Designer, Console – Valorant“- the significance of which should be self-evident. “Design and refine features, modes, and systems to help bring console game products to market,” the ad reads. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that such a listing has gone up.

Clearly, work on Valorant’s console port continues to progress behind the scenes, though it remains to be seen how much closer we are to an actual announcement for the game being made available to wider audiences. Hopefully it won’t be too long before official details arrive. We’ll keep an eye out for those, so stay tuned.
