Valorant - Killjoy

Riot Games may have pulled the trigger a little early on Killjoy, its next Agent for Valorant. But now it has an official trailer and release date, showcasing her appearance and skills. Killjoy goes live on August 4th as part of Act 2 for the free to play shooter.

Hailing from Germany, Killjoy is all about defensive measures. Her abilities, as noted here, comprise of Alarmbot for tracking down foes and causing them to take double damage when hit; a Turret which fires at a 180 degree angle; and Nanoswarm, a grenade that unleashes nanobots. Lockdown is her Ultimate and can be used to trap enemies in an area for eight seconds.

Valorant has maintained a pretty steady balance between gunplay and abilities since launch, so it should be interesting to see how Killjoy factors in. Riot Games is planning more story content in Act 2, so stay tuned for more details in the coming days. You can also read our review for Valorant here.
