After announcing their living room console or gaming PC, Steam Machines, Valve has confirmed that they will be holding their very own game developer conference titled ‘Steam Developer Days’. The event will take place in Seattle, across two days on January 15th to 16th, 2014.

This event will not be open to the press nor the public and will apparently help game developers to voice their opinions on VR, Linux/OpenGL, user-generated content in a more open way. The conference will also have the presence of Steam OS, prototype Steam Machines and Steam Controllers and developers can play around with it.

This is obviously a drive by Valve to make the games development community versed with Valve’s plans for Steam Machines and how Gabe Newell and company plan to capture the living room market.

Being a closed event we are not sure how much information will come out of this conference but nevertheless we will keep you updated on any news that may come out of Seattle next year.
