Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is one of the more highly anticipated RPGs releasing next year, as a sequel to a cult favourite that is promising to make a lot of necessary improvements. And though the game’s launch is a while away yet, those who’re looking forward to it will be glad to know that it’s hit a notable development milestone.
Developers Hardsuit Labs announced in a recent update on Steam that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2’s development has officially passed alpha stage, which means it is now “systems-complete.” “We’re done adding gameplay mechanics and features to the game,” the developer wrote. “Of course, this doesn’t mean that the core game is done and ready to put in a box (“systems-final”). There are still quite a few people busy tweaking, balancing, and art-ing up the gameplay.”
The update goes on to mention all the work that Hardsuit Labs will be focusing on going forward- the most important being creating and designing quests ad populating the game’s world with them.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is due out on some time in 2020, though a specific release date hasn’t yet been announced. You can get more details on its choice and consequence mechanics and the length of its campaign through the links.
