Dotnod’s Vampyr is an intriguing game and perhaps one of the most underrated titles of the year. Its emphasis on choice and consequences system works really well with the dynamic narrative, resulting into some surprising results. If you want to know more about the game, check out our in-depth review here.

We recently got our hands on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions of the game and we decided to compare them against each other. As expected, the Xbox One X takes the lead here with better image quality, performance, resolution and loading times [the loading times are pretty bad on both consoles although it’s much better on Microsoft’s machine].

On the other hand, the PS4 Pro version suffers from frequent frame rate drops and the game crashed for us on one occassion. Overall, the Xbox One X version delivers a better experience but we are hopeful the developers will fix the PS4 Pro version soon.

Note: The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions were tested during the launch period.
