Vampyr’s New Gameplay Trailer Showcases Monstrous Combat

Dontnod has improved the combat dramatically from previous showings.

Dealing with vampirism isn’t easy, especially when the Spanish Flu is infecting Victorian London and hunters are out for your blood. However, in Dontnod Entertainment’s Vampyr, Dr. Jonathan Reid could just as easily go from hunted to hunter by embracing his dark side. Check out the latest trailer below which describes how to become a monster.

Though Reid’s main quest is to effectively save London from the epidemic sweeping it, there is plenty of choice as to who can be killed or saved. Building relationships with characters will result in more XP should you decide to feed on them. This will result in more powerful abilities being unlocked which are good for combating hunters.

As the trailer showcases, Dontnod have significantly improved the combat. Reid can close the distance, hit multiple foes at once, strike from the shadows and even pounce from a distance. Vampyr is out on June 5th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and with this latest trailer, we can’t wait to dive in.
