Digital Extremes made a brief appearance at The Game Awards 2019 to announce that Warfame’s Empyrean update was now available. This is for PC players and involves finally taking the Railjack into space to engage in space battles. Check out the launch trailer below.
Subsequent updates till now have focused on building one’s Railjack, fighting off the Kuva Liches and exploring the new melee combat. Empyrean will be a first for Warframe as it introduces full-fledged space combat. Multi-crew functions like manning the guns, diverting shields and much more can be accomplished with the help of other players.
It’s also possible to send other players onto an enemy vessel to help take it down. Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch players will have to wait a bit longer for the update (though Rising Tide is currently available).
