Digital Extremes’ latest big update for Warframe is a doozy. Dubbed “Shrine of the Eidolon”, it will be going live on February 8th (confirmed on Twitter) and adds quite a lot of different changes to the game.

Roughly 100 weapons will be receiving buffs though the most interesting changes are to the Warframes themselves. Ember will see World on Fire being less viable while Banshee’s Resonating Quake will now be placed in a fixed area, dealing more damage near the centre, rather than freezing her in place. Others like Ash, Zephyr, Atlas and so on will be receiving some long overdue buffs to make them a lot more fun to use.

Two new Eidolons will be present to hunt on the Plains of Eidolon and to assist in this, Dargyns will now be available to ride around. Eidolons will drop Arcanes (now that Trials are being temporarily retired) and Riven Transmuters so there will be plenty of reason to hunt them down. Stay tuned for more information and official patch notes soon.
