Anyone who’s played the Vermintide games will be more than happy to tell you that there are certain things developer Fatshark has mastery over- excellently adapting the Warhammer universe and delivering brutal, bloody combat are definitely highlights among those things. The upcoming follow-up Warhammer 40,000: Darktide very much falls in line with that.

Taking the stage at Summer Game Fest Kickoff LiveWarhammer 40,000: Darktide showcased a new gameplay trailer, and it’s continuing to look great. Vermintide fans will be happy to see how it continues to shape up, with brutal combat and plenty of morbidly beautiful explosions of gore and hordes of monstrosities seen in abundance throughout the trailer. Check it out below.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide launches on September 13 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass day and date. Pre-orders for the game’s PC version went live earlier this month.
