Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr will be launching with Xbox One X and PS4 Pro enhancements, like most (if not all) games do these days, but while in most cases the Xbox One X version of such games, thanks to its superior hardware, come out on top as the better one, with Martyr, that’s probably not going to be the case.
While speaking with WCCFTech, developers NeocoreGames confirmed that the game will run at a 1440p resolution on both systems, which means that they’re pretty much going to be identical, while it will also come with two graphical options, with one favouring resolution, and the other, called “Balanced”, running “a bit faster”, in the developers’ words.
“You’ll be able to switch between two graphical modes: “Balanced” and “Quality”,” they said. “Quality will look a bit better, Balanced will run probably a bit faster. Depending on what you prefer and what’s your play style. Regarding resolutions, we’ll have PS4 Pro and Xbox One X support with 1440p resolution, but you’ll be able to choose 1080p and 900p as well.”
What “run a bit faster” means, they didn’t go into, but the obvious assumption is that frame-rate will be more of a focus (though why it’s called “balanced” is anyone’s best guess). Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr launches today on PS4 and Xbox One (UPDATE: There’s been a slight delay), over two months after its initial PC launch.
