Fatshark’s Warhammer: Vermintide 2 recently hosted its first closed beta over the weekend. The reception was pretty good since the developer has announced a 24 hour extension for the same. The beta will now run until 9 AM PT/12 PM ET, February 27th. Furthermore, the team is dispatching additional keys to the first 10,000 players who request them here.
Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund spoke about the beta’s reception, noting that, “It’s been an amazing weekend, with millions and millions of Chaos and Skaven enemies eliminated. We are also very appreciative that media and influencers have taken the game to a large audience around the world.”
There will be another beta exclusive to pre-order consumers on February 28th. Unlike the current closed beta, the pre-order beta will see one’s progress carry over into the final game. Think of it as a bit of early access though it remains to be seen if the content will be any different. Keep your fingers crossed for more career paths at least.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is out on March 8th. Dates for the Xbox One and PS4 betas haven’t been revealed as of yet. For more information on the Steam version though, head here.
