InXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 2 has been silently chugging on since the completion of its Kickstarter and now the developer has promised backers that the RPG will have a release date by month end.

As of now, the developer is working to fix bugs, finalize the writing in the game and adding NPCs and other encounters to the mix. Content developers for the game will be moving to work on Torment: Tides of Numenara as inXile shifts to the bug-fixing phase.

Wasteland 2 is currently on Steam Early Access and there will be a beta in the coming months. When the game will release remains to be seen but anticipation is still high. Wasteland 2 will be releasing on Linux, Mac and PC and is being co-developed alongside Obsidian Entertainment (which is working on Pillars of Eternity, it’s own Kickstarter-funded project). Stay tuned for a release date to Wasteland 2 by May end and let us know your thoughts on the project thus far.
