Later this year we will once again find ourselves in the wild world of Wasteland with Wasteland 3. The game recently got a very nice Dev Diary that talked about the level of choice and customization you’ll get this go around (you can watch it through here). Now, we switch gears with a second Dev Diary (via IGN) that’s all about the story, world and weird characters you’ll have to deal with.

InXile Studio Head Brain Fargo and Senior Writer Nathan Long introduce us to the story, where the Rangers are hot off the heels of their last misadventure where they had to nuke their own base to destroy a rogue AI. They find themselves in Colorado being ‘helped’ by the Patriarch, a figure who seemingly rules over the area. He won’t be the only strange character, as the game will have plenty of oddball characters such as Nancy Reliance, who leads a cult that worships the late President Ronald Reagan as a literal god. All of that will be against the backdrop of a snowy Colorado with multiple branching story paths. Definitely check it out below.

Wasteland 3 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We had our own interview with Brain Fargo earlier in the year, which you can check out through here.
