Wasteland 3 - The Battle for Steeltown

Acclaimed tactical RPG Wasteland 3 will be getting its first paid expansion on June 3rd. The Battle of Steeltown will release for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, introducing a new location and story quests. Check out the reveal trailer below, which offers some information on what’s going on.

Steeltown is a location central to the Patriarch’s war effort, manufacturing robots, weapons and much more. After deliveries from the town stop, the Patriarch sends the Rangers in to investigate. Bandits are raiding and workers striking but there are also some robotic foes to deal with. Along with new quests, the expansion also adds new weapons, armor, enemies and world map encounters for the base game.

New combat mechanics like telegraphed attacks, non-lethal weapons, elemental shields and more are also being introduced. Best of all, the combat and gear will scale to one’s level so it can be attempted at almost any point in the story. Before The Battle of Steeltown launches, however, Wasteland 3 will receive patch 1.4.0 which adds some “exciting new features.” Stay tuned for more details on that in the coming weeks.
