Watch Dogs “Amazing Street Hack” Video Tricks People Into “Hacking” the City

Yes, we're serious.

Ubisoft has showcased a ton of impressive footage for Watch Dogs, yet some how inexplicably released a live-action video for the game which tricks people into thinking they can hack the street lights, cars, etc. using a smartphone app. We wish we were joking but check out the video above to see it for yourself.

Watch Dogs takes place in a near future version of Chicago, which is controlled with an advanced CityOS. You play as Aiden Pearce, a genius seeking revenge on those who harmed his family, who uses a smartphone to hack the CtOS for his own needs. You can detonate steam-pipes, slow down and hop on subway trains, trigger road-blocks, and much more.

Releasing on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC (with a Wii U release happening later this year), Watch Dogs will be out on May 27th. Stay tuned for more information on the open world adventure in the following weeks.
