Ubisoft would have probably had a far stronger year – and a better chance at winning our Developer of the Year Award – had it chosen to release Watch Dogs for both current and next gen consoles. Delayed in October, the publisher assured us that the game required more polish and would be ready by next year. We now have three new screenshots of the open world hacking adventure which showcase, well, hacking and the usual explosive antics of protagonist Aiden Pearce. Check them out below.

Watch Dogs will allow players to explore a futuristic version of Chicago, run by a City OS that can be hacked into thus allowing for manipulation of road-blocks, security cameras, etc. You can also use your vast hacking knowledge to find out information about citizens and alter their fortunes for better or worse.

Watch Dogs will be out on on PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in Q1 2014.
