Airship Syndicate’s free-to-play action RPG Wayfinder launches into early access on August 15th for PS4, PS5, and PC. It also unveiled a new character, Venomess – check out the animated trailer below.

Players must purchase a Founder’s Pack for early access, which allows for instantly playing Venomess. You also get the first two Seasons of content and the Battle Pass-like Reward Tower (which contains 100 rewards and doesn’t expire). There are four tiers of Packs – Base, Initiate, Awakened and Exalted.

You can upgrade packs throughout early access, with additional rewards in the higher tiers – like a Heroic version of Kyros in the Awakened and Exalted Packs, exclusive to early access. Players also get Apartments, which can provide buffs via artifacts.

In a press release, creative director Joe Madureira said, “Early Access is a huge milestone for the entire studio. Traditionally, we’ve shipped boxed games like Darksiders Genesis or Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, and moved on to the next project. It’s incredibly exciting that this truly is the start.”

Game director Steve Madureira added, “We’ve run quite a few incredibly successful beta tests with thousands of players around the world. Those tests gave us great insight, and we’ve made some awesome changes based on player feedback for Early Access. We plan to continue that trend, so we have a solid foundation going into our full free-to-play release.”

Wayfinder will also be playable at Gamescom from August 23rd to 27th. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
