‘We Know What We Would Want In A Remember Me Sequel,’ Say Dontnod

'The decision is ultimately Capcom's to make.'

The folks of Dontnod are releasing a new game soon- the episodic drama-adventure game, Life Is Strange, being released digitally in association with Square Enix. But the first game that got them noticed en masse was their earlier, similar sojourn in many ways, Remember Me, which they released exclusively to PlayStation 3, with Capcom publishing.

Remember Me was a sales flop, and most critics were lukewarm on it at best, but it does have its fans- enough that the developers at Dontnod don’t find discussing the idea of a sequel preposterous. Speaking to The Examiner, they mentioned that they already knew what they would want in a hypothetical sequel to the game.

“We are extremely proud of our first game, although we are very aware that it was not perfect, but this decision is Capcom’s to make. We already know exactly what we would create should we ever get the chance to make a sequel to Remember Me,” Moris told Examiner.com.

It is very nice to see that they are at least aware of the flaws of their game- most develoeprs would refuse to acknowledge them. Here is hoping Life Is Strange does well, and that they get another shot at Remember Me some time in the future.
