New Overwatch Video Takes A Look At Widowmaker

In before games where both teams are just snipers.

Snipers have been a staple of shooters for as far back as memory goes, but the Widowmaker in Blizzard’s upcoming free to play multiplayer arena shooter is probably one of the most interesting takes yet we have had on the concept. She, obviously, has the signature sniper rifle, but what makes her so much better than routine snipers is her sheer mobility- with her grappling hook, she is able to traverse and zip around the map in an instant, finding better vantage points to pick out enemies from, and getting herself out of trouble.

In addition to all of this, her ultimate power is the ability to see through walls- something that she also bestows upon the rest of her team for as long as it is active for her. It’s only temporary, but honestly, at this point, she is beginning to sound a bit overpowered.

Oerwatch releases in beta later this year on PC. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
