2. Mario Kart 8

Karts. You hear that word and you’re either fumbling for old memories or bounding for your controller. Nintendo decided that the fun that Mario Kart offered wasn’t quite enough. So they threw in their wittiest and whackiest of brains in a mixer-grinder and came up with Mario Kart 8. And oh the joy it brings. Apart from the fact that the announcement of the next Mario Kart game itself was exciting enough a prospect, Nintendo has brought fresh ideas to the table. Just as perplexing the notion of riding on walls, ceilings and up-turned tracks may sound, as much fun it is. Add to all this motorbikes, hang-gliders, underwater racing and a whole lot of loony characters and you are bound to have a mob of people moaning as to why the game doesn’t release earlier. What’s more! The 12-player multiplayer makes a return with Mario Kart 8.
