It's got the best library on the market, and it doesn't look like that will change in 2015 either.

Mario Maker

Nintendo’s a bit late to the party here, considering Sony was rocking this with LittleBigPlanet back in 2007, but they are finally here, and they promise to bring the best in genre mechanics with them. Mario Maker is their own take on the do it yourself/level creator style of plstforming gameplay pioneered by LittleBigPlanet, except this is Mario themed, with Mario mechanics- the former automatically makes it more charming, the latter automatically makes it better to play (considering just how awful LittleBigPlanet’s platforming mechanics really are).

The game promises to be interesting- it is giving players tools to make all sorts of levels, and then to share them with players. Nintendo’s player generated content games are usually very robust- remember Pushmo, or Mario vs Donkey Kong?- so to see a full fledged game like this, centered on the idea of player generated content, for Mario mechanics and levels? That’s something worth keeping an eye out on.
