Wii U Games Line Up For 2015 Is Nothing Short of Spectacular

It's got the best library on the market, and it doesn't look like that will change in 2015 either.

Metroid

Metroid is another game that fans thought would never come- a series that they thought Nintendo was trying to distance itself from, and one that would never see another entry. So imagine the fans’ delight when Nintendo announced that they had not one, but two new Metroid games in development, one in the classic 2D sidescrolling style, and one in the more popular 3D first person style made famous by Retro with Metroid Prime. A new Metroid would be coming to Wii U after all.

Except, and Nintendo has started to make a habit out of this, we still don’t know anything about it (the footage above is the trailer for Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii). We can guess that the 2D Metroid game is probably for the 3DS, and the 3D first person style one for Wii U- that’s a fair guess to make- but apart from that, we have no other information. What is the game called? What does it look like? Who is working on it? Does it follow the cliffhanger at the end of Fusion? What does it play like? We know nothing.

All of this said, Nintendo never does announce games that it isn’t working on- unlike other companies, the only games it shares information about with the public are games that it is confident are nearing release, so we know that Metroid for the Wii U is coming, and soon. Let’s just hope they show us more of it some time soon.
