Witchfire

We’ve been hearing about Witchfire for quite some time now, and that’s been doubly true over the last year or so thanks to the game’s re-emergence in the spotlight. The Astronauts’ fantastical roguelike shooter has looked solid with every one of its new showings, and recently, we got another new showing, with the game taking the stage at Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live.

Typically, Witchfire continues to look promising in its new trailer. Strange weapons, powerful magic, deadly and monstrous enemies, and dark and grim environments are shown off in abundance, and it definitely looks like the game is coming along well. Check out the trailer below and make your own judgments though.

Witchfire is in development for PC, and will launch via Steam and the Epic Games Store. An early access launch for the game was announced earlier this year for Q4 2022, and this new trailer confirms that that launch will be coming “soon”. Exactly how soon “soon” will turn out to be remains to be seen, but hopefully we’ll learn more soon.
