Final Fantasy 15 may be the big new Final Fantasy game coming out this year that Square Enix are really pushing, but it’s the smaller and infinitely more charming World of Final Fantasy that I’m really pumped for. World of Final Fantasy is a Pokemon style spin off for the series, with a charming art style that harkens back to the classic SNES and PS1 games in the series.

That artstyle is singularly responsible for me looking forward to this game as much as I am- seriously, check out the new screenshots for the game that just came out below, and tell me they don’t touch your heart and speak to you. This is just the kind of game I’d love to play on my Vita.

World of Final Fantasy will launch on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in October. Let us know what you think of the new screenshots in the comments section.
