World of Tanks just had a rather massive update drop that is bringing a number of tweaks to the game, as well as a number of new tanks. The new patch, officially labeled 9.9 brings a ton of new content and everyone should be able to download and use the new content now.

The patch was announced on the game’s official website and among the new stuff was the unveiling of the new tanks, The Spähpanzer 1.C and the Heavy Tank No. VI. The Spähpanzer is a German Tier VII light tank that is slated to replace the Aufklärungspanzer Panther, and the Spähpanzer is a Japanese Premium Tier VI heavy tank that is a version of the Tiger tanks. Other tanks have been upgraded and updated to work better with HD. In total there were 14 tanks that got the upgrade including the AMX 50 100, FCM 50 t, T-62A and VK 36.01 (H).

Graphics changes were actually a pretty big part of this patch, and has actually been improved whether you’re talking about the standard client or the HD version. Armour mechanics have also been souped up to be a bit more realistic. The total list of all the changes that have been brought to the game can be checked out on the World of Tanks website. You can also watch the video below that gives  a quick rundown of what to expect from patch 9.9. One has to wonder whether the graphical upgrades are just run of the mill or actual preparations to back up the claims that the Xbox One version could actually support 4K sharpness.
