World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Rated for Xbox Series X in Brazil

Could the popular MMO be headed to Microsoft's next-gen console?

In the sixteen years that World of Warcraft has been around, not once has Blizzard’s mammoth MMORPG been available on a console. If new developments are anything to go by, however, that might be about to change.

Recently, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the next expansion for the long running MMO, received an age rating in Brazil ahead of its launch later this year. Curiously enough, in the age rating, alongside PC, the Xbox Series X was also mentioned as one of the platforms that the expansion would be headed to (spotted by Gematsu on Twitter). The age rating seems to have been edited since then to remove any mention of the Xbox Series X, but you can see an older screencap of it through the tweet below.

There’s every chance that this was just an error, so don’t take this as confirmation of any sort, but if World of Warcraft does indeed end up making its console debut on Microsoft’s upcoming console, that would be a huge get for them.

We’ll keep you updated as this story develops, so stay tuned.
