WWE 2K Battlegrounds

For better or worse, especially after last year’s offering, 2K Sports officially confirmed no new WWE 2K title. That being said, it will release WWE 2K Battlegrounds, an arcade-style wrestling game developed by Saber Interactive. If you’ve enjoyed the over-the-top mayhem of WWE All-Stars, this might be familiar. Check out the teaser below.

Developed by Saber Interactive, WWE 2K Battlegrounds includes the likes of The Rock, John Cena, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair albeit in more cartoony depictions. The action is intentionally wacky – as evidenced by the ability to toss your opponent into the waiting jaws of a crocodile in the crowd. That being said, 2K Sports does promise plenty of depth.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds releases this Fall but no platforms have been announced. There’s a chance that it could release for the PS5 and Xbox Series X as well as Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. Time will tell though so stay tuned for more concrete details in the coming months.
