WWE 2K22 Trailer Highlights New 2K Showcase With Rey Mysterio

In the new 2K Showcase, fans can experience Mysterio's illustrious career including his match against Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam 2009.

Visual Concepts’ WWE 2K22 is out next month and offers quite a number of improvements over previous games like the return of MyGM Mode, Universe Mode and much more. It also sports a new 2K Showcase focusing on Rey Mysterio who celebrates 20 years in the WWE. Check out the latest trailer from the mode below (courtesy of IGN), which showcases the legend’s match with Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam 2009.

Along with interspersing gameplay with live-action footage, each match also features Mysterio himself providing a live introduction. You’ll also learn more about his various achievements via different anecdotes. Other opponents that players will face include Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, The Miz and of course, Eddie Guerrero.

WWE 2K22 is out on March 11th for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Those who purchase the Deluxe and nWo 4-Life Editions gain 72 hours early access. For more details on the gameplay, check out the recent deep dive here.
