Xbox 360 Achievements being randomly wiped out, users panicking

UPDATE: Microsoft has responded and has advised people to log in again into their accounts.

It has just come to our attention that Xbox 360 Achievements are being wiped out as soon as you earn one achievement. It’s currently not a widespread issue, but reports are coming in from the Xbox forums that plenty of people are affected by it.

Microsoft has been alerted to this issue, and their twitter reps are working on it to ease fan concerns.

We’re aware of some gamer score issues at this time, and we’re looking into it. Thanks so much for your patience! ^BA

This has to be pretty devastating to people who have more than 50k Gamerscore, considering they’ll most likely be attached to it. The achievements are stored on Xbox Live servers and we’re pretty sure Microsoft can revert back to correct it.

At this point, it doesn’t seem like a serious issue, so we urge gamers to not panic and wait for an official statement from Microsoft.

Stay tuned to GB for more news and updates.
