Xbox 360 Dashboard Now Available: Fixes for SmartGlass Included

Do you care? Doesn't matter, cuz you need to download it.

Microsoft’s newest update for the Xbox 360 Dashboard is finally live, but rather than ushering in a new era of user control and freedom, it’s merely meant to fix a number of issues that users have been having, namely with SmartGlass which has suffered from issues such as the app showcasing the wrong playlist name.

Fixing the AI for the Covenant in Halo 4? Suddenly making Xbox Live multiplayer free for all and sundry? Who cares about that?

Xbox Video is also getting an update to fix errors with closed captioning. Xbox Music is also on the bug-fixing list, further helping to integrate it with Windows 8.

As of now the update is available primarily for UK gamers and currently being distributed worldwide. So it shouldn’t take long before everyone finds that little prompt on their Xbox 360 asking them to download the patch.

Stay tuned for more details on the patch and it’s effects in the coming weeks.
