Xbox 360 ships 76 million, 24 million Kinect sensors, and more

M
icrosoft has released some stats about the Xbox 360, Kinect and Xbox Live, and they are impressive. They have also opened a new studio in L.A. called Xbox Entertainment Studios, and it will be headed by Nancy Tellem, president of entertainment and digital media at Microsoft.

The Xbox 360 has shipped 76 million worldwide. Kinect has shipped 24 million units. Xbox Live has 46 million users.

“We believe that Xbox is being used by more people in the household, during more hours in the day and for more forms of entertainment,” Microsoft’s Yusuf Mehdi said. “People are using Xbox in the morning to work out with the Kinect Nike+ Fitness program, kids are watching cartoons, families are enjoying movies, and of course people are playing blockbuster games like ‘Halo 4.’”

The new studio’s mission is to create true interactive content for Xbox and other devices that will change the way entertainment content is experienced and delivered.

They have also released a chart for the same which you can check out below.
