It’s time for another next-gen news and rumor round up, detailing all the things happened this week. Again like last week, PS4 didn’t have a lot of interesting rumours this time, but Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox and Wii U had a ton of information.
Some guy called Superdae actually sold a next-gen Durango SDK on eBay for a whopping $20k.
“The seller who listed it had also leaked a lot of things regarding this dev kit on Twitter. In case you’re wondering “That’s just a PC”, the early dev kits look exactly like that and the Xbox 360 version one was also shipped on a PC form factor,” reads the post.
“You can check out the listing here which doesn’t have any detail except a picture and “XBOX Durango dev kit” as a description.”
Next up, Sumo Digital says that the Wii U is on par with the PS3 and Xbox 360 or maybe even better.
Wii U graphics on-par or maybe even better than PS3/360 – Sumo Digital
“Sumo Digital has revealed to Eurogamer that Wii U is on-par with the PS3 and Xbox 360, or maybe even better. They mentioned this during Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed play session which has exclusive characters for 3DS and the Wii U.”
“If exclusive developers can create games from scratch and give a lot of attention to the Wii U then we may have some great looking games on our hands.”
EA’s Frank Gibeau: ‘I’ve seen new consoles from Sony and Microsoft’
“I’ve seen both of them,” he teased during his speech about the future of the industry as he saw it. “Ten years ago we used to measure our market in terms of 200 million people. Now we are at a billion people playing games, and we have a straight line view on 2 billion,” he said, via Gamespot.
So that’s it for this week’s news and rumor mill. Stay tuned for more as we approach the Wii U launch.
