We recently covered a Kotaku report which said that the Xbox 720 controller will be largely unchanged from the Xbox 360 one. It has also been revealed that the system’s specs are aligned with PS4’s specs which means both the consoles will be similar specs wise.

Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat said that the new Xbox will be “aligned with what Sony announce” to Eurogamer, and it will also be “connected”. Let’s hope by connected he does not mean always-online internet required. We know the backlash it received.

Both the consoles having similar specs is good for the industry because it means more people will be buying games since the audience that game developers can sell their games to will be bigger. The industry needs both these consoles to sell well so that more amazing games will be made.
