Xbox Boss Promises There Is “A Lot to Share” At E3 Next Year

Phil Spencer reminds people that Microsoft will, in fact, have more to show at E3 than the competition.

Sony has announced that it will not be participating at E3 in any capacity come next year, which is a bold move for them. This means that all eyes are now on Microsoft and Nintendo, who get the stage to themselves. And mostly Microsoft, since Nintendo doesn’t actually host live conferences anymore, but rather has a variety of digital streams through E3’s duration.

Xbox is, of course, also the direct competition to PlayStation, which means it’s the one that stands to be affected the most by PlayStation choosing to sit out this year. And indeed, almost as if Xbox boss Phil Spencer was passive aggressively rubbing Sony’s absence at the event in to fans and media alike, on Twitter, responding to a tweet made by the official ESA account about E3 2019, Spencer promised there will be “a lot” to share and show come E3 2019.

Xbox ended up having the best E3 show this year, mostly because Nintendo and Sony fumbled the ball—but they could end up stealing away the lion’s share of plaudits next year too, if their show then continues the trajectory set by the one we got this year.
