Xbox Game Pass Launches on June 1st

Xbox One's game subscription service is out next week.

It’s official – Microsoft’s subscription service for Xbox One dubbed Game Pass will go live on June 1st. Oddly enough, the news comes by way of an official Facebook video featuring Danny McBride.

Xbox Game Pass will cost $10 per month and offer “over 100 games”. The full list of games for launch hasn’t been revealed but do we know that some games will be cycled out every month to make place for new ones.

It should be noted that Xbox Game Pass won’t require Xbox Live Gold to play games though titles with multiplayer support will require it. Also, much EA’s successful Access service, games will be downloaded to your console rather than streamed. This also facilitates offline play for as long as you have a subscription.

What are your thoughts on Xbox Game Pass, especially with it releasing prior to E3 2017? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates later today.
