There had been rumblings of late that Microsoft would be holding an event in late March focused on smaller and indie titles, and that has now been officially confirmed. In an update posted on Xbox Wire, Microsoft has announced its debut Xbox indie showcase for March 26, at 9 AM Pacific Time.

The event will feature new trailers and gameplay for over 25 upcoming indie games releasing for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. These will include the likes of Second Extinction, Exo One, The Ascentand S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 (which, yes, is technically an indie-developed game). Here’s hoping The Gunk is featured in the showcase as well.

In addition to that, the event will also feature announcements about new indie games coming to Xbox consoles and to the ever-increasing catalog of Xbox Game Pass.

We will, of course, be covering the event live, so stick with GamingBolt for all the latest news and updates.
