Xbox Live Rewards To Become Microsoft Rewards In June

In the US, at least.

Microsoft has announced that it will be changing its Xbox Live Rewards in the US starting June, and that these will be switched over ti Microsoft Rewards instead. The Xbox Live Rewards site recently sent out the info regarding the same (via Reddit). “Xbox Live Rewards is becoming Microsoft Rewards In June,” says Microsoft. “Your account will automatically switch over to Microsoft Rewards in the United States.”

Naturally, this means that all Xbox Live Rewards offers will also need to be completed and any new MyVIP Perks will need to be unlocked by May 31st, while Microsoft will give until June 15 to claim any open MyVIP Perks and redeem your MyVIP Gems. “If you do not want your account to automatically transfer to Microsoft Rewards, you must opt-out of Xbox Live Rewards here by June 15, 2018,” Microsoft says.

We’re not really sure how this impact the values of your gems. The value of gems is much lower than the value of Microsoft points, which means that if you do not redeem them within the time given, your gems will be devalued by quite a bit. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued coverage.
