Much like Sony with its PlayStation Network, Microsoft is looking to make things right with consumers who may have missed its Christmas weekly deal on Xbox Live due to attacks from hacking group Lizard Squad.

Originally meant to end on December 31st, the weekly Xbox 360 and Xbox One deals have been extended to January 6th. You can head to Major Nelson’s blog for the full list of games but some of the discounts included Alien: Isolation ($30), Forza Horizon 2 ($51), Destiny ($45) and Diablo III: Reaper of Souls ($40.20).

Both Xbox Live and PSN were the targets of malicious DDOS attacks on Christmas Day which led to significant downtime in network services. Though PSN was worse off, Xbox Live faced several issues from users attempting to log in and access core services.

Have things improved since then? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below along with your thoughts on Microsoft’s extension of the Weekly Deals.
